Carnival Firenze is Carnival Cruise Line’s Italian-themed “Fun Ship”. She will make Port Canaveral its seasonal winter homeport starting fall 2027. Port Parking Space will provide convenient parking and shuttle service to the Firenze.

Ship Class: Carnival Firenze is a Vista-class ship, sister to Carnival Venezia. Built by Fincantieri in Italy, it originally sailed for Costa Cruises as Costa Firenze before Carnival acquired and rebranded it in 2024, keeping its Italian-inspired design throughout.
Maiden Voyage: The ship first sailed in 2021 as Costa Firenze. Its Carnival debut came April 25, 2024, from Long Beach, California, where it has homeported ever since.
Capacity: Carnival Firenze carries 4,208 guests at double occupancy (up to 5,260 at max capacity), a mid-size ship by today’s mega-ship standards, with roughly 1,278 crew.
Features and Amenities: True to its Italian theme, Firenze features WaterWorks (the ship’s water park), SportSquare with a ropes course, jogging track, mini-golf, and outdoor fitness area, Cloud 9 Spa, the adults-only Serenity Retreat, and the exclusive Terrazza Moda deck for suite guests. Family-friendly clubs include Camp Ocean, Circle “C,” and Club O2 for different age groups.
Itineraries: Once relocated, Carnival Firenze will offer 4- to 14-day Caribbean itineraries from Port Canaveral, including short Bahamas getaways to Celebration Key and longer Eastern and Southern Caribbean “Carnival Journeys” sailings. It’ll operate seasonally, wintering in Port Canaveral before shifting to New York for summer 2028 Bermuda sailings.
Entertainment: Onboard entertainment includes Playlist Productions stage shows at Teatro Rosso, live music at the Moda Bar and Lounge, and nightly sets at Piano Bar 88. This ship provides a mix of Carnival’s signature production value with Italian flair.
Dining: Complimentary dining includes Pizzeria Del Capitano for fresh Italian pizza and the Lido Marketplace buffet. Specialty venues include Il Viaggio for authentic Italian cuisine, Bonsai Teppanyaki for interactive hibachi-style dining, and Fahrenheit 555 Steakhouse for premium cuts in an elevated setting.
